Jonathan: You know too much already…
But, if you must know more, feel free to follow me through one of the following methods:
Elaine: What can I say about this incredible woman?! Elaine is truly a queen among peasants. She is smart, funny, witty, charming, romantic, beautiful (inside and out), fiesty, strong, caring, joyful, thoughtful, gracious. She is my tangible reminder that God’s grace is real and present. She also teaches me what love is and how to express it. But before you think she is a lightweight, Elaine knows how to push back when I need it. “What God has joined together, let not man separate.”
Haley, Age 8: My oldest daughter, Haley, has probably already read more books in one year than I have in a lifetime. She loves to read, has a great sense of humor (her sarcasm can be very impressive at times), has an eye for the beautiful, knows how to charm her daddy, and has natural leader abilities that prove useful when needing to get her brother and sister to obey her commands.
Ethan, Age 7: Can anyone say, “Superhero?” Ethan was born to be a superhero. It doesn’t matter which one. Heck, he could be them all! Spider-Man, Superman, Batman. He is the rescuer, the protector, the fearless one who meets life even before it arrives. Yet he balances his “superhero-ness” with a tenderness that is enviable. I have seen him sacrifice for his sisters on numerous occasions and it brings great joy to my heart, and it reminds me how I am to lead as a man. Go Ethan!
Megan, Age 5: Got Entertainment? Megan has it all; charm, passion, strength, glitz, drama, humor, flare. Megan can be charming your socks off one minute and shooting you a look that kills in the next. She has this amazing ability to have me wanting to toss her out the window because of her defiance, yet at other times I am weeping with love at her thoughtful kindness toward me (like when she kisses me on the arm and says, “I love you, Daddy.”). I have already begun praying for that boy out there whose heart she one day captures…
